On Friday before the heat hit, we headed to Eastern Beach in Geelong. This part of the city is great for kids. It is a revitalized swimming enclosure which is part of a great waterfront rebuild that is absolutely wonderful for families. The beach area itself has a play park, a kids pool (as you can see in the picture), the beach with a big swimming area with diving structures, etc. It's just a really great place for families. Two extremely hot days later (it only reached 39 Celsius in the end, no big deal) was today; a beautiful, sunny Sunday. So after Mass we decided to explore Pakington Street in Geelong. Or "Pako" as they like to call it. This is an awesome area of town with cafes, restaurants, and little shops. We stopped at the Pakington St. Bakery for some lattes and desserts. Mmmmmmmm... Then we went for a little stroll around the corner to visit Bond Street Kindergarten. Cormac will be starting here in just a couple weeks. Needless to say, he is pumped.
